Consultants receive a fixed monthly remuneration, in addition to their existing pension if applicable.

Full-time roles, the honorarium go up to ₹13,000/month, and for part-time roles, up to ₹6,500/month as per general DoPT guidelines.

In practice, DRDO sometimes offers monthly payments in the range of ₹40,000 to ₹60,000, depending on the individual’s past rank and the job responsibilities assigned.
